Perry Earns LEED AP Certification

Sherman Construction is proud to announce that Project Engineer Shane Perry has earned LEED Accredited Professional certification. Perry passed the LEED AP examination on the first attempt, putting him in an elite class of people nationwide who pass on the first try.

Perry joined Sherman Construction earlier in 2008 and has been working on several healthcare and historic restoration projects. He is a graduate of Clemson University. "This is a great accomplishment for Shane and speaks volumes about his hard work and dedication," commented Andy Sherman, Vice President at Sherman Construction. "Sherman Construction is dedicated to offering our clients LEED accredited professionals that will enhance our ability to implement "Green Building Strategies" and achieve the desired LEED Certification for their buildings."

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes individuals with detailed knowledge of LEED project certification requirements and processes and a command of integrated design principles. LEED accreditation is awarded to building industry practitioners who successfully demonstrate these proficiencies on a comprehensive exam.
